toch haast op deze rustdag!

De eerste winterfoto’s van dit jaar! Ja ik weet het… het is nog steeds herfst, maar met dit soort plaatjes zou je dat bijna vergeten. Mooi is dat toch… die kleine witte ‘haartjes’ langs de rand van een blad.

The first pictures of winter this year! Yes I know ... it's still autumn, but with pictures like this you would almost forget. Nice ... the little white "hairs" along the edge of a leaf.

Hierdoor krijg je toch steeds meer zin om je huis in de kerstsfeer om te toveren? Van de week heb ik alvast maar weer een paar kleine accenten aangebracht zoals deze sterretjes aan onze lamp die boven de eettafel hangt:

In de At Home van deze maand kwam ik de lantaarns tegen die ik ook voor mijn keukenraam heb staan en daaraan hadden ze ook witte sterren gehangen. Dat vond ik een goed plan dus…. gisteren heb ik er nog een paar gekocht:

In the magazine At Home this month I came across the lanterns that I got standing for my kitchen window, and they had white stars hung on them. That was a good plan so .... yesterday I bought a few more:

Niet zo mooi op de foto gezet, maar eigenlijk heb ik niet zoveel tijd vanmorgen dus dat komt later nog wel een keertje. Over een half uurtje vertrekken we namelijk naar de open kerstzondag van atelier Bep en ik heb er zin in!!! Omdat Bep vorige week jarig geweest is, heb ik nog een leuk klein kadootje voor haar gemaakt. Dit zal ik in een volgende post laten zien, want het moet natuurlijk wel een verrassing blijven hé? Ook hoop ik er Cindy tegen te komen, want ook zij had wel zin in zo’n gezellige dag bij Bep!

Not so nicely put on the picture, but actually I do not have much time this morning so I will make another picture one more time. In about half an hour we leave to the open Christmas sunday at atelier Bep and I'm looking forward to! Because Bep’s birthday has been last week, I have a nice little gift for her. This I will show in the next post, because obviously it must be a surprise huh? I also hope to encounter Cindy, because she was in the mood for a cozy day with Bep also!

Nu nog even snel een update van mijn Dorothy. Ik had beloofd na elke rand een foto te laten zien, maar vorige keer is er niets van gekomen. Inmiddels ben ik dus alweer met een nieuwe rand bezig:

Ook geen superfoto, sorry. Maar zo heb je in ieder geval een idee hoe het worden gaat. Nou mensen, ik moet echt opschieten nu anders is de dag bij Bep al voorbij. Het is voor mij toch nog een behoorlijk eindje rijden natuurlijk.

Also, no super photo, sorry. But now you have at least an idea how it will be. Well folks, I really must hurry now otherwise the day at Bep is already over. For me it is still a fairly long drive of course.

Maar deze smelten niet!!

Wel netjes je hand voor je mond houden tijdens het gapen! Deze sneeuwmannen weten hoe het hoort! Allebei in pyama hangen ze hier een beetje te hangen… lekker lui. En ze waren zó leuk om te maken!!!

Keep your hand before your mouth while yawning! These snowmen know how to behave! Both in pajamas they are just hanging here a little ... so lazy. And they were so fun to make!

Ergens in maart geloof ik, heb ik het Tilda-boek ‘Crafting Christmas Gifts’ gekocht en nu dan eindelijk heb ik er ook iets uit gemaakt. Eigenlijk kon ik niet kiezen, want er staan zóveel leuke dingen in!!! Behalve deze sneeuwmannen vind je er ook muizen in kerstoutfit of engelen in allerlei soorten. Waarschijnlijk zul je hier nog wel een volgend werkstuk tegenkomen hoor. Wat vind je bijvoorbeeld van deze leuke bloempotten?

Sometime in March I believe, I purchased the Tilda book "Crafting Christmas Gifts" and now finally I have made something out of it. Actually I could not choose, because there are so many nice things! Besides these snowmen are also found mice in Christmas outfit or angels of all kinds. You will probably see another piece appearing on my blog. How about this nice example of flower pots?

En de neus is gemaakt van een plantenstokje waar met de puntenslijper een puntje aangeslepen is. Je moet er maar opkomen hé? Voor degene die het leuk vindt om zulk soort dingen te maken, is dit boek echt een aanrader!!

And the nose is made from a plant stick on which I used a pencil sharpener to make it pointed. How do you come up with such ideas huh? For those who likes to make such things, this book is really a must!

Op dit moment probeer ik een soort van nieuwe hoes te maken voor over de footstool die ik ooit gemaakt heb. Destijds vond ik de stof die ik gebruikt heb erg mooi, maar inmiddels past het niet echt meer bij de rest van m’n spulletjes. Nu schoot me vanmiddag te binnen dat ik nog ergens een crème kleurige stof had liggen (waar ik ooit gordijnen van wilde maken). Na flink zoeken heb ik de stof gevonden dus nu maar eens kijken of ik er iets mee kan!

Right now I'm trying to make a new loose cover for the footstool that I once made. At the time I found the fabric I used very beautiful, but now it no longer really fit with the rest of my stuff. Now I remembered this afternoon that I had somewhere a cream-colored fabric (from which I ever wanted to make curtains). After much searching I found the fabric so now lets see if I can do something with it!

Als het lukken wil, volgen de foto’s vanzelf! hahaha

If I succeed, the photo’s will appear in a couple of days! hahaha
